TRENCH MO8UT H IS SO CALLED BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS WHEN OUT ITHE TERM TRENCH MOUTH COMES FROM WW1 WHEN SOLDIERTS WERE FORCED TO FIGHT IN TRENCHES THEY DUG TO SHIELD THEMSELVES FROM THE ENEMY. THEY WOULD SOMETIMES BE THERE FOR MONTHS AT A TIME WITH NO REAL WAY TO CLEAN THEIR TEETH..THEY CALLED THE GUM ROT , TRENCH MOUTH..SIMILARLY THEY WOULD NTO BE ABLE TO CHANGE THEIR SOCKS FOR GREAT LENGTHS OF TIME EITHER , AND ALSOP SUFFERED FROM "TRENCH FOOT" WHICH IS OR ATHELETES FOOT AS IT IS NOW COMMONLY KNOWN..
