wtf? how is this funny?
for one: drum circles may be the bane of your day, but to another it might just make their's
secondly: where do you get off labelling spiritual percussion under a certain race? Sure, I can find humor in some racial jokes -as long as they make sense. Honestly; countless cultures around the globe have found divination and power through rhythm, and, although it may be an abomination to one as naive and ignorant as yourself, percussion can be a very spiritual, communal, and healing activity. So what if a human being is inspired to transcend the ignorance and stipulations that are, sadly, stamped upon the diffusion of ancient lore, culture, and spirituality by the simple-minded and disrespectful wastes of life like you? No -how about we follow your example and tread upon our wise ancestors by categorizing them and convoluting their ways until the generations to come will be just as ignorant, racist, and thickskulled as you?
I hear you. Hippies, as a species, have long been discriminated against in our society, and it's disappointing to see more hippie oppression on inherently funny! The white man likes to think they are somehow "superior" to the hippie race because of the hippie's alternative choice of dress and hygiene regimen. It's called cultural relativism, people. Just because I want to live off my trust fund and follow Widespread Panic around the country doesn't make you "better" than me!

And yet more evidence of generic WASP U.S.A.'s inability to create meaning or intimacy with the Earth or within themselves, without ripping off Native Americans. Badly. Again.
hey guy, are you actually referring to trustifarians as a "race"? Just to clarify - trustifarians = dirty hippies with trust funds. And I would hardly call a bunch of goateed grad students awkwardly drying to play djembes an "abomination". Let's keep some perspective. When I ask for no mayo on my mushroom, angus and swiss burger at McDonalds and they slab that gross shit on there anyway...that's more "abomination" territory.

I agree 100%. And by the way, stop ripping off the Native Americans.

Actually...the discrimination reference could've been in regards to this statement: "And by the way, stop ripping off the Native Americans."

there was an identical post by Frank on April 15, 2008. There is only one way to settle this: a fight to the death with limp noodles!

It's a beautiful day! Let's go to the park ruin everyone else's day with our atonal hippie drumming.
Anthony on October 1, 2008
Ack, that is correct! Proper attribution has now been made.
