Many UU students are in LDS, where women have a subservient role to men. Many of the female students are, in fact, quite disappointed if they graduate without a ring on their finger. So they're not going to revolt, because that would make the men angry.

Excuse me Tim. We are not "in LDS", that's just bad grammar. We are not subservient to men in that religion, get your facts straight, and I also think you're confusing the U with BYU, where 98% of the people going do get married. Most of the women on campus are smart enough to know it's just a song. We're proud of our fight song, and sing it loud and proud!
