Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
This is what they call Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Britain and Ireland, because the censors over there think that "Ninja" is too violent. See also British, Cartoons, Irish.

This is false. I live in the capital of Ireland and it is still TMNT. I have never heard anyone saying TMHT.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles Upon TMNT's first arrival in the United Kingdom and Ireland the name was changed to "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles", since local censorship policies deemed the word ninja to have excessively violent connotations for a children's program (in Ireland, however, the first season aired as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" before the change to "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles"). When the live-action movie came out in 1990, the Ninja of the title was kept in the UK. In the UK, the 1987 TV series is still called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and the 2003 TV series is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I heard in TMHT, that they censor Mikey's nunchucks, yet Leonardo can still keep his katana, a way more dangerous weapon than two sticks connected w/ a chain.

I'm British and I didn't want to believe it but I looked it up and it was on some comics at the very least. It's not funny though, its irritating. There is nothing wrong with the word Ninja!

Tbh, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles isn't that bad. It's actually really good. A lil violence but its not like ppl are going to try and copy them, right? (pls don't tell me ppl copy everything they see on tv)

As an Irishman myself, I can confirm that it USED to be Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Personally, I'm way too young to remember this, but my dad was telling me how he used to love the show. I corrected him, but he said it used to be TMHT.
