I guess this seems odd to non-equestrians, but bombproofing your horse is just getting him used to scary stuff. Scary stuff being predominantly pony-eating plastic bags, tarps, rocks, flags, birds, and other terrifying objects. The book is not about how to get your horse to be supernatural and survive bombs.

It's hard to bombproof an animal who thinks that a plastic bag is a ghost, or that a puddle of water is a bottomless pit (like my Welsh pony, Hopscotch).
