If YOU want to know the reson it is becase English DDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNN''''''''''''''''''''''''''T MMMMMMMAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEE SSSSSSSSSENNNNNNNNCCCCEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes.
for example: there is no h after the s in sure.
It cause the creators of new English you could say like the language to be able roll off the tongue smoothly. and from the old times enleofan was the proper word for the number 11. which is to mean one left over ten.

Because Firsteen makes much more sense. First would be put into Firsteen, and Second into Secondteen, just as Third goes into Thirteen, Fourth into Fourteen, etc.
Onety-one doesn't make any sense at all. It sounds a lot like Twenty-one when you pronounce it "tw-un-ty-one". Same for 12. ALSO! It would be firstteen. And secondteen. Oddly like thirteen and fourteen.
